1. About this service
Ceylon Rail Pass ("we", "us", "our") helps travellers book Sri Lankan train tickets online across all reserved classes — Air Conditioned Saloon, 2nd Class Reserved, 3rd Class Reserved and Sleeperette services. We handle the reservation process on your behalf and deliver confirmed tickets by email.
2. Reservation requests
When you submit a booking, you are making a request for reserved seats in your chosen class. All requests are subject to seat availability at the time we process them. Submitting a request and completing payment does not, on its own, guarantee a confirmed seat.
We will confirm your booking and email your ticket details once availability is secured, typically within one hour. If seats are not available, we will offer an alternative or provide a full refund.
3. Pricing and fees
The total price shown includes the ticket price (base fare × number of passengers) and a per-passenger service fee for handling your reservation. All prices are displayed in Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR). The service fee covers the cost of securing, checking and delivering your reserved tickets.
4. Passenger information
You are responsible for providing accurate passenger details, including full names, passport or ID numbers, and nationality, exactly as they appear on travel documents. Incorrect details may prevent boarding, and we cannot be held responsible for issues arising from inaccurate information.
5. Changes, cancellations and refunds
If we are unable to secure your requested seats, you are entitled to a full refund. For changes or cancellations initiated by you, please contact us as early as possible; refund eligibility depends on railway rules and how close to departure the request is made.
6. Liability
We act as a booking and reservation service. We are not liable for train delays, cancellations, schedule changes, or service disruptions caused by the railway operator or other third parties. Your use of the train service is subject to the railway's own terms and conditions.
7. Demo notice
This website is currently a demonstration. Payments made here are not real charges, and bookings are stored locally for demonstration purposes only.
