Ceylon Rail Pass is operated by AIDEA VENTURES (PVT) LTD, a company registered in Sri Lanka ("we", "us", "our"). This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through this website.
2. Information we collect
To process your train reservation, we collect the information you provide during booking: passenger full names, passport or ID numbers, nationality and passenger type, along with the main contact person's name, email address, phone/WhatsApp number and country.
3. How we use your information
We use your information solely to secure and confirm your train tickets, to communicate with you about your booking, and to provide customer support. Passenger details are shared only as required to issue your reserved tickets.
4. Payment information
Payments are processed by PayPal. Your card or account details are entered directly on PayPal's secure payment page — we never see or store your full card number, expiry date or CVV. Our server independently confirms payment success directly with PayPal, using our own credentials, rather than relying solely on a message from your browser.
5. Where your data is stored
Booking and passenger details are stored in a hosted database (Supabase, an EU/US-based provider) with access restricted to our booking system. Confirmation and ticket emails are sent through Resend, our email provider.
6. Data retention
We retain booking information for as long as necessary to provide our service and to meet legal or accounting requirements. You may request deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us.
7. Cookies and local storage
This website uses your browser's local storage to remember your in-progress booking (before you submit it) so you don't lose your details between steps. This draft stays on your device. Signed-in accounts use a session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party trackers.

You have the right to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.
